Turn supported web content into an encrypted Entry

A protected copy, not only a bookmark

A bookmark remembers where a page was. A captured Entry can preserve supported text, source context and localized images so the research note remains useful when the remote layout changes or an image link stops working.

SovaSpace stores the source URL and capture time inside the protected Entry content. Supported images are copied into the encrypted attachment workflow rather than remaining as invisible calls to third-party image servers.

Safer imported structure

Web pages contain scripts, styles, trackers, forms and embedded content that do not belong inside a private note. The capture process removes dangerous styling and limits the imported structure before it enters the rich editor.

This is a content-copy workflow, not a full offline browser. Interactive applications, logged-in states, complex layouts, video players and every visual detail of the source page should not be expected to reproduce exactly.

Mobile share flows

Supported mobile share actions can send text, web pages and files into SovaSpace. The receiving workflow still applies platform permission, account, storage and file constraints.

A share action is not complete until the resulting Entry and any copied attachments have finished their durable local and synchronization work. The app keeps pending operations visible when a network or storage condition interrupts them.

Copyright and source responsibility

Encryption does not change who owns captured material. Users remain responsible for copyright, access restrictions, confidentiality obligations and the terms of the source website.

Source URL and capture time help preserve provenance, but they do not prove that a page was accurate or that reuse is permitted.

From capture to connected knowledge

Captured material can be summarized in a rich Entry, tagged, linked to related notes and connected through Standard Space backlinks. A later reading note can preserve the distinction between what the source said and what the user concluded.

For long-term research quality:

1. Keep the source URL and capture time.
2. Separate quotations from your own analysis.
3. Record why the source matters, not only what it says.
4. Link the capture to the project or question it informs.
5. Export only after reviewing private context and attachment rights.

Capturing a page creates a more durable private research copy; it does not make the source permanent, authoritative or free to republish.
